Welcome, Spring!

Dear Friends and Followers,

Now that it is March, winter conditions have decided to show up. At least they have for now ;) That does not stop us from starting our plants, reflecting on our horticultural failures from last year, and positioning ourselves for a bountiful season. There are so many new components to our farm business, it's hard to know where to begin.

First, flowers! Yes! We are planning on growing cut flowers for market in 2025. It has been on our mind for a few years now. With the expansion of the gardens last fall, we have the space to do so comfortably. You will now be able to buy flowers from us at our three drop locations. Flowers are available to anyone (members and non-members) to purchase.

On the topic of our three drop locations, we will now offer our products in three locations every week. As was the case last year, we will be at the Pagosa Farmers Market. Due to downtown construction in Pagosa Springs, the market is temporarily moving. The location is not yet know but the vendors of that market will soon announce its new location. Our second location will be at Higher Grounds Coffee. They are developing a summer market of food vendors and artisans on Tuesday evenings. We are very excited to offer our products at their location. We are narrowing down the third location, we do know it will be outside of the Pagosa Springs city limits. Stay tuned!

Yet another big development to note is our new mobile market. We will offer our products and other local purveyors products, at all sales locations. You will now be able to cross off more of you grocery list at one location and feel good that you are supporting local producers. Beyond our veggies and flowers, you will be able to get various meat products, culinary mushrooms, baked goods, beans, and flours... all produced here in Colorado. So far, the farthest you can expect products to travel is from the San Luis Valley.

On top of all that, we are rolling out a new website where you can purchase all of this goodness online!!

As a last bit of excitement, we are looking forward to teaching Rocky Mountain gardening courses at the farm. Per the request of many, we have a full day of hands-on curriculum designed to help beginning gardeners take their skills to the next level. In the course, you will learn tricks for dealing with the unique challenges of our area. Soil, pests, time management, season extension, and tools for efficiency are just some of the things people will walk away with. If you are interested, learn more. There is a spring course and a fall course. Each is different and focused on the season in which it takes place. Space is limited, so reserve your spot before classes fill up!

We look forward to the turn of spring and hope to see you all soon!
